Acquisition helps EU companies scale their global tech talent strategies
Munich, 16 May, 2023. Casana, a Munich-based network of IT talent, has been acquired by Andela, a unified talent solution to source, assess, hire, manage, and pay technical talent for global clients. This marks the firm’s second acquisition in 2023, expanding the Andela footprint in Europe. The world’s largest global marketplace for qualified talent now has more than 4 million technologists across 175 countries.
Launched in 2014, Andela is changing the way the world works, helping companies scale their global tech talent strategy. Andela provides the talent platform, global talent network, and managed services for building remote-fluent teams from emerging geographies, such as Africa and Latin America. Casana’s business model aligns with Andela’s approach to assessing the qualifications for accepting members into its global talent network. Casana’s co-founder, Enrico Karnstädt, will lead Andela’s German business and expansion into Western Europe as Director of DACH and Nordics.
Jeremy Johnson, Andela’s co-founder and CEO, adds: “Enrico and team built Casana into an incredible presence in Europe, and we look forward to serving clients there with our global network of digital experts. Much like the US, European enterprise clients are looking to quickly grow their teams with quality engineering talent. As we continue our mission to connect brilliance with opportunity, an expanded presence in Europe is a natural step in this journey.”
Discussing the benefits of the merger, Karnstädt comments, “Casana’s goal was to help European clients meet the demand for high-quality technical talent to support their digital transformation initiatives. By joining forces with Andela, our customers immediately benefit from a larger pool of qualified technologists in Europe and other global regions.”
