How Location Live is using Claude to speed up development and keep its marketplace innovating

SNAPSHOT
Customer: Location Live
Industry: Live media marketplace
Use case: AI-assisted product development and business operations
Tools: Claude, Claude Code, Claude Cowork
What was built: An AI-native delivery workflow that connects product planning, design, engineering, review, and analytics. Claude, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork support different stages of the workflow, with Andela AI engineering talent embedded in Location Live’s product and engineering team.
Early impact of using Claude:
- 40% shorter release cycles — increasing engineering velocity
- ~70% more frequent releases with enterprise-grade enhancements are delivered in weeks vs months before Claude Code.
- Streamlined recurring operational workflows across teams with Claude Cowork
- Faster idea-to-production cycles, allowing the team to test and validate new features quickly
Problem: scaling an established marketplace required a faster development model
Location Live operates an established marketplace, built over more than a decade, that connects brands and agencies with premium live media and activation spaces around the world. As the business has grown, so has the ambition behind the product: new features for hirers and location partners, enterprise-grade capabilities for larger customers, and a steady pipeline of ideas the team wants to put in front of users.
To keep pace with that ambition, the team needed a way to speed up the development process and test ideas quickly, without compromising the quality and reliability that customers and location partners depend on. Working alongside Andela, Location Live saw Claude as central to how it could build, test, and ship faster.
The goal was to shorten the path from idea to shipped product, giving the team the speed to validate new concepts early, iterate with confidence, and keep the marketplace innovating for hirers and location partners alike.
Solution: an AI-native workflow connected product thinking to engineering execution
Location Live worked alongside Andela engineers to buid Claude into its product development workflow from the outset, with Andela AI engineering talent embedded in the product and engineering team. Ayotunde, Product Manager at Location Live, uses Claude to research ideas, write product briefs, prototype designs, analyze data, and shape requirements before work moves to Engineering. The Engineering team then carries the same context into Claude Code for implementation, review, and delivery.
“Claude has changed how quickly we can go from an idea to something we can test. It gives us speed and depth of expertise, which means we can keep innovating in the marketplace and put better tools in front of our customers and partners, faster.”
– Ayotunde Lanwo, Product Manager, Location Live
Claude is also connected to the team’s core workflow tools. That connectivity reduces the manual movement of information between systems and allows work to progress further inside a single AI-assisted workflow, with people reviewing and approving at every key stage.
The AI-native delivery playbook
- Start with the product idea: Claude helps turn early thinking and research into product briefs, requirements, and working prototypes before engineering begins.
- Move from design to delivery in one workflow: Location Live uses Claude for product design and prototyping, then carries the brief and design directly into planning and engineering.
- Connect Claude to the tools where work already lives: Integrating Claude with the team’s existing project management, analytics, and collaboration tools gives it the context needed to support tasks without repeatedly moving information between applications.
- Extend AI into engineering: The engineering team uses Claude Code to carry the product brief and design into the codebase, using Plan Mode to work through the implementation approach and specialized agents to support exploration, review, and testing.
- Streamline operational work: Location Live is using Claude Cowork to support recurring operational workflows, freeing up time for higher-value work with customers and location partners.
- Use the right level of intelligence for the task: The team does not rely on the most powerful model for every job. Lighter models can handle routine work, while more complex tasks receive additional reasoning and oversight.
Impact: from weeks to days — faster development with Claude
The biggest change for Location Live is speed. Since adopting Claude, Location Live has cut its release cycle by around 40% and now ships roughly 70% more often. Much of its work now moves from ticket to production in days; before Claude Code, this work took weeks. The current team can now move from idea to tested feature considerably faster, making it easier to validate concepts early and focus investment on what works.
That difference has already shown up in production. When larger customers asked for additional enterprise-grade capabilities, the team used Claude Code to design, build, and ship them in a matter of weeks.
In another case, a complex performance improvement that had been expected to take months was delivered in days, with Claude Code helping the team explore the existing codebase, reason through the underlying issue, and implement the fix.

The bigger shift is operating leverage
Location Live is increasingly using Claude as the connective layer between its product and engineering work. An idea can move from research to design, into planning, through engineering, and into production with fewer handoffs and faster feedback. The same approach is now extending into analytics and operational processes across the business.
Location Live is also exploring how AI can play a greater role across the marketplace itself.
“Location Live is showing what happens when Claude becomes part of the development operating model, not just another developer tool. Product, design, engineering, analytics, and operations stay in sync through a much more connected workflow, while experienced engineering judgment stays in the loop. That gives the team the ability to test ideas quickly and ship meaningful, enterprise-grade work much faster.”
