Independent Contractors

Engineers who are Andela independent contractors must schedule and discuss any time off directly with the applicable Partner and the Andela Partner Experience Representative. Andela does not provide for or include time off in the Rates provided. Partner will not pay Andela or the Engineers for any vacation time or other days off that the Engineer and Partner agree in advance that the Engineer can take.

Employees

Engineers who are Andela employees receive approximately 21 business days of vacation/paid time off depending on country-specific labor laws. Andela Partner Experience Representatives may notify you of the exact amount during the beginning of the engagement.

Engineers on active Partner engagements must submit paid leave requests to their Andela Line Manager at least four weeks in advance. Engineers are required to submit leave requests to their Andela Line Manager for eight or more consecutive leave days at least two months in advance. Once approved, the Engineer will work with the Partner to communicate the time off in advance.

Engineers who are Andela employees observe the holiday of their permanent working location. Andela will notify you no fewer than two weeks in advance of the holidays that apply to your Engineer(s).
