Lantern, a public benefit corporation, offers software and resources that guide family members through end-of-life planning, including funeral plans, wills, last wishes, and logistics. The Lantern team had a 3-month deadline to rewrite its entire product. The need for skilled talent became critical as new releases introduced bugs in their core platform with every commit and deploy. 

Lantern engaged Andela to quickly onboard senior engineers to take the product from MVP to V1 and accelerate testing. The Andela team wrote test code against Lantern’s core platform that minimized the bugs from deployment and commits. 

The Andela team dramatically reduced load time for a critical application by 97%. As a result, Lantern successfully met its 3-month deadline and relaunched the platform.
